Selected Group Exhibitions

Postgraduate exhibition, at Tin Flats Los Angeles Peer-organized and curated by Audrey Min of the Koreatown, Los Angeles gallery, Commonwealth and Council. The prompt to reflect on their artistic practice in the past two years—before and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic—elicited 19 responses from participants. Introduced by Tatum Howey (MFA 21, Writing), the artist book re:connections offers unique insights into process: from research materials and correspondence, to in-progress and finished works.

Exhibition highlighting projects created during 2020, CalArts Expo annually presented work by over 500 artists in 21 venues throughout campus, including installations, concerts, dance, electronic performances, theater portfolios, projections, films, artist talks, and multimedia exhibitions.

Group exhibition showcasing work by ten selected artists from the  MFA in Photography and Media program at CalArts.

Exhibition that examines bodies in space through a re-negotiation of the ways in which we are read and received by the world around us. Through looking at notions of responsibility, representation, and modes of performativity, offering critical and celebratory responses and actions.

Exhibition focused and rooted in queered, racialized and sexualized bodies, roleplay, sadomasochism and sadism and the agency of the ‘other’ and ‘othered’ bodies. This exhibition investigated the power situated within the abject, primarily through queerness. With a focus on the combination of death and eroticism, ‘looking’ at the ‘othered’ body and the imperative implication of the ‘gaze’ in creating visual media. With a focus on the inherent power and alluded attraction to the perverse, the sexual and the violent.
